Amazing Evangelion Wooden Sculpture

December 6th, 2009

OMG, I never ever imagine someone able to make figure with chainsaws D=. It is not normal figure, but EVA 01! This wooden EVA 01 sculpture video is discovered while surfing chubbybots’s post. Special thanks to moemoekyun for sharing this video clip. =D

Amazing Evangelion Wooden Sculpture

This wooden EVA 01 sculpture is made by Thejeisonsan (a.k.a. JASONsan). With just 5 hours of work, he managed to craft such beautiful figure from a wood block O__O. At the end of the video, It only took him 5 minutes to create the 6th angel (base on Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0)… I’m speechless…

he only need 6 minutes too make a nendoroid wood ver.
    that amazed me @_@

  2. Gunstray says:

Its pretty evident that Jason-san has done Mountain training, thus perfecting his wood sculpting. I swear his gonna do Guren lagann, some time

  3. Wow! Another great wood sculpture of a famous mech series!

This is really cool. I encountered a similar one from another anime forum and one person found a link that showcases a group of mainland chinese students successfully sculpted a human-sized Macross SDF-1 spaceship!! And it’s fully transformable!

    Here’s my old post

  4. bluedrakon says:

This is one craft where a mistake would be really bad. A friend was watching this and said that he must have some pretty strong arms and a very sharp blade on that saw.

  5. B-Mecha says:

    @moemoekyun: Thanks for the link!

@Gunstray: Perhaps Gurren Lagann with chainsaw LOL.

@GenMechJournal: Wow, that SDF is awesome!

@bluedrakon: I think so too. Holding a chainsaw and cut wood for 5 hours is very taxing.

  6. h4mster says:

    wow,that guy is true artist!
