Giga Drill Breaker!!! In Sengoku Basara?!

I was watching Sengoku Basara anime today… However, I saw this bloody hilarious scenes in episode 5. During the fight between Takeda Shingen and Tokugawa Ieyasu, a mobile suit launched from the castle… and he is Honda Tadakatsu! WTH is this??

Honda Tadakatsu’s Giga Drill Breaker

The fun part didn’t end here. During the fight with Sanada Yukimura, He even performed Giga Drill Breaker! Too bad he doesn’t had Gurren Lagann’s sun glasses to immobilize the target.

My GF said it has been some time since I laugh like this. There are remaining 6 episodes for me to watch during my jobless period muahahahah. I shall spend more time to update this blog too =D

    Overall Sengoku Basara is a great anime… in fact there are few items that I think is quite weird on the way they make it…

    This Tadakatsu Honda (loyal retainers of Ieyasu Tokugawa) is one of them plus that “Gundam-like” launching sequence… I would prefer if they just make him as normal “human form” rather than this monster robot form.

    Another weird thing is that despite being such an action/fighting kind of anime… We hardly see blood… but I guess maybe because they want to make this as “friendly” as possible when it comes to targeted viewer rating…

    Mitsuhide Akechi… despite being “the real evil” character in the anime… the way they designed his character…. gosh… looks like he is an old ghost or witches hungry for blood… again, just like other character, they could just make him “good looking”

    And lastly Nobunaga as devil king drinking whatever liquid from the skull…. I played Kessen III (PS2 game) a lot and love it so much and I believed they can just make Nobunaga a typical human rather than as devil king or something…

    As someone who like the history of Sengoku period, I tend to believe that those in Capcom have bloodline from Ashikaga Yoshiaki (the lousy Shogun) who hate Oda Nobunaga so much…

    But despite all that complains…. Sengoku Basara is damn cool and I look forward for the 2nd season…
