Hi guys, I’m back from Anime Festival Asia X. By the time I finish this post AFA X should be over. Unlike previous AFA, I only went for day 1 and managed to take some photos of the booths, sales and the cosplayers. There are many surprises and disappointment in this year’s event. My coverage will focus on the event area and part 1 is mainly about the new anime figures, toy sales and the event exclusive items.

Tomorrow is the day for Anime Festival Asia X (a.k.a. AFA X). The X stands for 2010 and this is the one of the biggest anime event in South East Asia! If you read my previous coverage on AFA 2009, we see maid cafe, anime singers, special guest, cosplayers, anime concert and my favourite anime toy sales! Although this year they will have the movie screening of Gundam OO the Movie, but I prefer to look at the special offers by the toy shops ^^. These are the main targets that I will visit.

In today’s class, we are going to teach the young otakus and fellow toy collectors how to survive if you spent all your allowances on toys and figures. We are very proud to have our special guest, Nirvash type Zero from Eureka Seven and VF-25 Messiah Valkyrie from Macross Frontier to demonstrate how to cook an instant cup noodle step by step. Are you ready?

Art Storm just annouced 2 new mecha for its SD ES Gokin series – 06D Gowapper 5 Godam Dragon and 07 Machine Robo Revenge of Cronos Baikanfu. I’m highly interested in Baikanfu where I watched the series when I was the kid. The ES Gokin version includes the transformation too! O_O
