My Opinion on this figure
When I first see this figure in Hobby Japan, I’m attracted by the Black colour scheme for Getter Dragon, which I think it gives a much fiercer and stronger impression than the red one. Secondly, the Getter Laser Cannon enhanced the overall look. If not because of the Cannon I might be reluctant to get this version, since I’m not interested to collect alternative colour without any specialty.
After playing with Black Getter Dragon, the articulation is more or less like the red one. The surprise is on the paint job, where the glossy black, metallic purple, metallic grey and the yellow turn out really nice. The cannon itself have some sort of dry brush metallic silver texture, which is unusual for Revoltech series. The slight disappointment is that no other weapon included, I was expecting the Getter Beam effect with the head. Oh well, overall it impressed me a lot and I wish Kaiyodo can keep up the good work for its new figures.
